ABOUT JULES VERNE
This is a very simple and straightforward site which contains a brief timeline of Jules Verne’s life and e-texts of his
works, many of which are now out of print. Each work is easy to access, and presented as a table of contents which
leads to the separate chapters. Each page is a complete chapter, and has links forwards and backwards so that it
is possible to continue from one to the next without having to go back to the index.

This is "an online collection of artists resources and developers who specialise in space and astronomical art,
science fiction art, visions of future worlds, design and visualization of technologies for living in space,
space exploration, spaceships, starships, space colonies, etc.” There is a wide range of high quality images
by a variety of artists.

COSTUME SUPERCENTER
Although an online costume store might not seem an obvious place to look for Science Fiction resources,
this page has a collection of useful links to a variety of other websites dealing with SF authors,
comics, costuming resources (naturally), movies and television, some of which are very interesting.

DOCTOR WHO
This is the BBC site for the ubiquitous Timelord. The site is crammed with pictures, news, games, downloads, screensavers, reviews
and much more. Like so many BBC sites, it is very professionally designed and presented, easy to navigate, and
contains enough material to keep even the most dedicated Doctor Who fan happily occupied for hours. There are clips and lots of
information about all the Doctors from William Hartnell to his latest incarnation.

FANTASTIC FICTION
This site contains bibliographies for over 15,000 authors, and information on over 250,000 books. It is arranged in
alphabetical order of authors, but is fully searchable by author or book, for which a cover picture, a brief
description and publication details are provided. It keeps up-to-date with the latest publications, and is a
good place to search for books by writers past and present.

IMAGINE FX
This is the website of the fantasy and sci-fi art magazine Imagine FX. I could have included it in the Art or
Digital Painting Resources sections, but include it here because of its specific subject matter. There are galleries,
forums, workshops, interviews, reviews and downloads, providing plenty of material for those interested in Science
Fiction and Fantasy Art.

IMDB SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY
This is the Science Fiction section of the enormous Internet Movie Database, and lists details of thousands of
Science Fiction T.V. series and films. There are cast lists, pictures, brief video clips and details of the
films themselves, together with further information on actors and directors. Helpfully, all queries are restricted
to the Sci-Fi genre, so you always know where you are with the material.

ORION'S ARM
This is a huge and inventive site, very well presented, easily navigated, and
containing enough material about the imagined future universe to keep the visitor occupied for a very long time.

SCIFIMATTER.COM
This is a searchable index of links to websites about science fiction and fantasy. It includes sections on films,
television, books, comics, authors, forums, games and collectables. It also invites visitors to become members for
free, which allows them to add science fiction and fantasy links of their own to the directory, subscribe to categories
and maintain their own bookmarks.

SCI FI SCRIPTS.COM
As the name suggests, this is a collection of links to science fiction and fantasy film scripts, arranged alphabetically,
and including everything from Alien to X-Men. The scripts themselves come in a variety of formats
(text, pdf, html, etc) depending on the host site. Some scripts appear in several versions and there are also
scripts that were rejected or never produced. This site is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in
science fiction and fantasy films.

SF BOOKLIST
This site is a comprehensive bibliography of science-fiction and fantasy authors and their books. The database
also contains links to official and fan sites of various authors where they exist. Updated monthly with the latest
books and new authors, the site presents a wealth of searchable information in alphabetical order of author surnames.
It lists over four thousand authors and thirty thousand books.

SF CROWSNEST
This site it certainly contains enough
material to interest even the most avid science fiction fan. Reviews and articles about books, films and television
series are generally informative and well-written, and there are numerous links to other relevant sites, and
information about science fiction related clubs, comics, art,
shopping, etc. SF Crowsnest is well worth a visit if you are interested in anything to do with science fiction,
and many of the linked sites are fascinating as well.

This comprises a mixture of book reviews, opinion pieces, author interviews, fiction excerpts, author and
publisher reading lists and a variety of other features connected with Science Fiction and Fantasy. It also has
a comprehensive list of links to author and fan tribute sites, SF conventions, SF TV and movies, magazines and
e-zines, writer resources, publishers, small press sites and many other SF resources.

This site has a wealth of information and material about everything to do with Science Fiction.
It is divided up into sections entitled Literature, Stories, Movies, Games, Comics, Blogs, News Forum,
Fun Zone and Art Gallery, all of which have their own sub-sections. The news, reviews and interviews about
recent and forthcoming events are accompanied by extensive illustrative material wherever appropriate.

SLAWEK’S ULTIMATE GUIDE TO SF ART
This is an exhaustive guide to over 1100 science fiction, fantasy, space and surreal art sites. The sites are
listed in alphabetical order and include those of galleries as well as individual artists. Inevitably with
so many links, some are broken, but there still many which are very useful and iteresting. It is the work of
Slawek Wojtowicz, whose own artworks in various media are also displayed on the site.

STAR TREK.COM
This contains a huge array of information on all aspects of the various Star Trek television
series and films. It is very slickly presented and each section has a multitude
of subsections so that you should be able to find out everything you ever wanted to know about the characters, cast,
technology, ships, aliens, places, food, etc., etc., etc., as well as the people who created them.
Even the most hardened Star Trek fan should be able to find something of interest.

TORCHWOOD GUIDE
Part of the Whoniverse website, which deals with all things related to Doctor Who, this extensive section
concentrates on the hugely successful spin-off Torchwood. It has sections on Torchwood itself, the characters,
the cast and crew, and many clips from the shows. The episode guides are very detailed, and there are also
sections on related novels, comics and audio books.

TOTAL SCI-FI ONLINE
This is an online continuation of a magazine which began life as Dreamwatch. It offers “up-to-date news,
expert reviews and exclusive features from the world of fantastic entertainment.” There are reviews of science
fiction films, television shows, DVDs, books, comics and games and interviews with many of those involved,
together with an extensive archive of past material.

THE ULTIMATE SCIENCE FICTION WEB GUIDE
This site is divided into
Aliens, Authors, Books, Genres, Movies, TV, Time Travel, Timelines, Games, General and News. The presentation
is very basic, but it is an invaluable resource for anyone searching for SF information. It contains a lot of material,
including a very detailed timeline of SF-related events, people, writings, films, etc.
The site boasts over six thousand links to Web Science Fiction resources,
though not all of them work.

THE X FILES TIMELINE
This is a very simple, site which gives you exactly what it says in the title. There are no pictures
or clips, just words (bright green on black). The sheer detail is impressive, and if you are a fan of The X Files
you could spend a long time going through the incredibly complex history of the earth and the aliens as they are portrayed in
the TV series and the film. The amount of
work that must have gone into teasing out the often complex and obscure material is mind-boggling.
